RED SSS KNOCK OUT 66
1D #3721531

Knock Out was the third high selling bull at the 2017 SSS Sale in Canada.  He is a bull with great length, width and depth of body.  His calves are real performers and have his easy going attitude.  His dam is a top cow at SSS and is built like a tank.  We think he will be the rare bull to blend performance and maternal qualities!

Calvo Red Knight 86A
Reg #1722568

Red Knight was one of the top sellers at the 2015 Calvo Family Red Angus Sale.  He is sired by Red HIll R017 Lancer 117Y, who is a half brother to Right Kind out of the dam to Buf Crk Nice N’ Easy T189.  86A’s dam is a daughter of BB 5236 BBred 6015 out of the famous DDA Stella 443 Angus donor cow.  He packs about as much muscle as you can get in a very moderate frame.  His first calf crop is outstanding and he will continue to be a featured bull at Axtell Cattle Company.

Axtell Dominator 1925
Reg #1444369
(Photo Coming Soon)

Dominator is a bull that we kept as our pick of our 2011 calf crop.  He was a standout from birth through yearling and kept his condition well as a yearling and is a very pasture breeding bull.  We typically keep bulls out of older cows, but we made an exception with 1925.  He is a Dominor T754 son out of a BJR Gambler 027 daughter.  The grand dam and great grand dams were in our herd until the ages of 12 and 13 and we have great confidence in our Gambler daughters, so we think the longevity should be bred into this bull.  He is a deep cherry red bull that has done well for us. His daughters are outstanding.

Beckton Emperor X342 J3
#1382727

Emperor is a calving ease bull with excellent performance.  Many of his calves are our top performers over the years.  He is very sound and has an excellent disposition.

Axtell Yellowstone 3704
#1622753

He goes back to our Cody line of cattle and ties in two of our top cows in his pedigree.  His sire is a son of our AX Lana 205 cow who produced through 14 years of age.  His dam is Axtell Syringa 404-704, who is one of our best cows and has longevity and production bred in.

 Calvo Julian 56A
#1729988

Julian 56A was our pick of the Red Hill Julian 84S sons at the 2015 Calvo Family Red Angus Sale.  He had as much muscle as any 84S that we’ve seen and is outcross genetics on the cow side.  His dam is a daughter of the Scottish Bull Dunlouise Excalibur and the grand dam is one of the top cows from the historic Beeby Red Angus.

Choat Legend Y200
#1458409

Legend was the high selling bull at the 2013 Choat Bull Sale in Nebraska.  He is a 5L Legend son out of a top Red Crowfoot Ole’s Oscar dam.  He adds rib and fleshing ability while having good performance and excellent calving ease. Please note, he is a dark cherry red bull, the photo is simply a black and white version.

Foundation Sires

BJR GAMBLER 027   (Semen Available)
Reg #: 744473
Red Angus Cattle in Colorado

Gambler 027 is the foundation of our herd.  He is a BJR Rambler 5162 out of BJR Lakina 002-0142, who is a BJR Excel-a-tor daughter.  Rambler 5162 was known as an outstanding female sire, but I would put Gambler 027 up against Rambler or any other bull.  The daughters are feminine, have excellent udders including teat placement and suspension.  He produced good sons, but his daughters were where he made his mark.

BECKTON CODY T008 K2
Reg #: 1178303
Red Angus Cattle in Colorado

Cody is a bull to add middle, add performance and he has a great disposition.  He is a bull that has done us a lot of good over the years.    His calves are born light and perform well.  His young daughters have done well for us. You will notice Cody on the cow side of a lot of our top bulls.

BECKTON DOMINOR T754 ZC
Reg #: 1179046
Red Angus Cattle in Colorado

Dominor T754 was our heifer bull for many years.  He is a calving ease bull that excels in carcass traits with him ranking near the top of the breed in marbling.  His dam also produced Beckton Nebula P707 making Dominor a maternal brother to P707.  After seeing both bulls, I prefer Dominor due to his thickness, correctness and fleshing ability.

FORSTER GOLD 3109
Reg #: 903056

Forster Gold 3109 was a bull that produced heavy muscled bulls.  His daughters are good cows, with excellent feet and udders.  His influence is throughout our herd.

AXTELL PAY DAY 8205
Reg #:  1248153
Red Angus Cattle in Colorado

Pay Day 8205 is a BJR Pay Day 1561 son out of our AX Lana 205 cow.  He is double bred Rambler 5162 and is a very easy calving sire.  His calves typically give up some muscle compared to our other sires, but the calving ease and udder quality of his daughter is outstanding.
